După ce a scăpat de Mircea Geoană, şeful PSD vrea să-l convingă pe edilul sectorului 5 să arunce armele şi să fumeze „pipa păcii cu el”. Întâlnirea dintre cei doi a avut loc la „Arcade”, unde au intrat duşmani şi păreau că au ieşit prieteni.
Războiul personal cu Mircea Geoană l-a costat pe Victor Ponta mai mult decât credea. A pierdut cea mai mare funcţie în stat pe care o deţinea PSD, aceea de şef al Senatului, mai multe procente în intenţia de vot,dar şi încrederea mai multora dintre senatorii PSD. În aceste condiţii, „Micul Titulescu” a înţeles că trebuie să îngroape urgent „securea războiului” cu Marian Vanghelie şi trebuie să-l convingă pe acesta că nu are de ce să-şi facă griji în privinţa viitorului său în PSD şi, mai ales, nu trebuie să ia în calcul o eventuală disociere a sa de actualul şef al PSD.
Vanghelie are mulţi adepţi în partid
Implicat în prea multe „războaie” personale, Ponta a înţeles, după mazilirea lui Geoană, că nu-şi permite să aibă şi în Marian Vanghelie un duşman declarat. Asta mai ales după ce 14 pesedişti, partizani ai lui Geoană, l-au contestat printr-un manifest public şi se pare sunt gata să sară din barca PSD condusă de un cârmaci ca Ponta. În plus, se ştia că Vanghelie nu a primit prea bine lovitura pe care Ponta i-a dat-o înlocuindu-l de la şefia Organizaţiei PSD Bucureşti şi se vehicula tot mai insistent că edilul de la 5 şi o parte a numeroşilor săi prieteni din partid s-ar putea situa pe faţă împotriva lui Ponta din interiorul sau la nevoie chiar din exteriorul PSD.
În acest context, e mai uşor de înţeles de ce Victor Ponta a simţit nevoia să-l scoată la masă, lunea trecută la prânz, pe Marian Vanghelie. Şi asta chiar în timp ce în Senat, Opoziţia se zbătea să ţină în posesie ultima funcţie importantă în stat pe care o mai avea, aceea de şef al Camerei Superioare. Ponta, Vanghelie şi nelipsitul Dragnea au poposit la restaurantul de fiţe „Arcade”, în jurul orei 15:00, afişând mine binedispuse, aparent chiar prieteneşti. Timp de aproape trei ore, cei doi atacanţi ai PSD şi „portarul” echipei „micului Titulescu” au luat masa şi au discutat aprins. Primul care a spart petrecerea, după aproape două ore, a fost Vanghelie. Zece minute mai târziu au ieşit din local şi Ponta şi Dragnea, de această dată cu mine afectate, părând extrem de preocupaţi şi chiar supăraţi. Asta şi pentru că Dragnea insista că imediat va afla rezultatul votului din Senat, iar Ponta ştia probabil că a pierdut fotoliul de preşedinte al Camerei Superioare.
Prânzul cel de taină a avut totuşi şi rezultate benefice, la scurt timp distanţă de la încheierea sa, Vanghelie declarând: „Eu sunt vicepreşedinte, ales la Congres, deci sunt în funcţie în conducerea partidului. Aici nu trebuie să te placă Victor Ponta ca să fii ales de Congres”, iar Ponta a susţinut: “Dorinţa mea este ca din PSD să nu mai plece nimeni, să fim uniţi şi să ne concentrăm forţele pentru bătălia de la anul cu regimul Băsescu. Fac tot ce ţine de mine ca USL şi PSD să nu sufere niciun fel de pierderi şi să ştim exact care este armata pe care ne bazăm. Sunt convins că şi Dan Marian Vanghelie şi cei de la PSD Bucureşti doresc să se bată cu Băsescu”.
